In December, Lutheran Hour Ministries’ center in Lebanon continued its outreach to Syrian children whose families have fled the violence in their homeland and sought refuge in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. The focus of the center’s Christmas-themed program was a drama titled The Missing Puzzle Piece.
“The play talks about the gifts we receive at Christmas,” says LHM—Lebanon director Fadi Khairallah. “These kinds of gifts may make us happy for awhile … but our happiness is like a puzzle with a missing piece, and that piece is Jesus. No other gift can fill our hearts with true joy and happiness, because He is the Lord, the Savior and the purpose of our lives.
“This was a special opportunity to share the Christian message with hundreds of children, many of whom are Muslims,” says Fadi. “They enjoyed the presentation and joined our staff and volunteers in singing some Christian songs. Each child received a Bible story book titled Three Presents for Baby Jesus as a gift.”
