Maria Gabriela Silveira has been named as the director of our ministry center in Montevideo, Uruguay. She was officially installed on Saturday, September 6, at San Pablo Lutheran Church, Montevideo. Please join Lutheran Hour Ministries in giving thanks to God for providing this capable, dedicated and enthusiastic servant to lead our mission of bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of Uruguay.
Gabriela, from Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo, completed her secondary education at San Pablo Lutheran School, where she learned Lutheran doctrine and became involved with the Lutheran church. She is an active member of San Pablo Lutheran Church in Montevideo. In 2010 she joined the staff of the LHM ministry center, known in Uruguay as Cristo Para Todas Las Naciones (Christ for All Nations). Gabriela has a TESOL/ESL (Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages/English as a Second Language) certificate and she is also finishing her university degree in Organizational Communication. She is engaged to be married and her wedding is set for February 2015.
