Last month, a mime theatre troupe called So-Tvorenie presented an entertaining program of Biblical stories in conjunction with Lutheran Hour Ministries in Russia. The event took place at Estonian Lutheran Church of St. John in St. Petersburg.
The So-Tvorenie group is known for their unique version of plastic art, and typically work in the genre of the classical mime. Their productions always consist of bright and meaningful stories told through pantomimes. This performance was no different.
“It is difficult to imagine Abraham having some face paint or Eve wearing gloves and black tights, but thanks to the actors’ incredible plastic art and gifted performance the audience was able to see the riches of the Biblical world,” said the LHM-Russia director, Igor Savich.
