An 11-member Lutheran Hour Ministries International Volunteer Trip team from Faith Lutheran Church, Grand Blanc, Mich. left Sunday, June 24 bound for Guatemala, where they will help upgrade church and school facilities in the town of Santiago Zamora and put on a vacation Bible school for the community’s children. Team member Gerry Survant writes:
Hola! from the Faith Lutheran crew on our first night in Antigua Guatemala. Today is our Mission Sunday. The beginning of what we expect will be a very enriching experience for us as we interact with the people of Santiago Zamora. We have already received a loving welcome, full of hugs and smiles, from the staff of the Lutheran Hour Ministry Center in Guatemala City. What a wonderful group of Christian disciples in this Guatemalan outpost! We begin work tomorrow teaching VBS at the Lutheran School in Santiago Zamora and start the flooring project. Keep us in your prayers that we are able to share the Word of our Savior Jesus Christ with all we meet in Guatemala.
Please join us in praying for this mission team and for everyone who will hear the Gospel because of their service!
