A large crowd attended the rancho’s dedication ceremony, at which pastors Henry and Mardo were joined by Lutheran Synod of Nicaragua president Rev. Marvin Donaire. The Lutheran Hour Ministries—Nicaragua ministry center topped off the celebration by awarding certificates of completion to more than 180 graduates of its Bible Correspondence Courses.
Nicaragua Ministry Center Celebrates Dedication of Rancho
Lutheran Hour Ministries’ center in Nicaragua, led by Director Ricardo Arguello, dedicated a rancho in El Pastal, some 10 miles from the city of León, where the ministry center is located. A volunteer group from Vestavia Hills Lutheran Church, near Birmingham, Alabama and led by Pastor Clifford Hellmers helped complete the structure, which had been begun by another group several years ago. The rancho will serve as a community center for all activities developed by Cristo Para Todas Las Naciones (Lutheran Hour Ministries)—and as the place for a future Lutheran congregation, which will be supported by the Lutheran Synod of Nicaragua and Lutheran Church—Canada.
