Contest activities included Bible quiz questions, Bible-verse search, Bible history and symbol-drawing, and singing, poetry and cultural dance performances. Each congregation and mission group was accompanied by their own pastors, who cheered them on. Lutheran Synod of Nicaragua President Rev. Marvin Donaire and Lutheran Hour Ministries Latin America/Caribbean Area Counselor Rev. Nilo Figur also attended.
“This is the biggest event that provides an opportunity for congregations, pastors, and Lutheran Hour Ministries mission groups in this country to gather for fellowship and growth in the knowledge of the God’s Word,” said Figur. “It’s exactly what Lutheran Hour Ministries’ mission of ‘bringing Christ to the nations—and the nations to the church’ looks like here.”
